Where to farm
Expedition Talent tree between runs, then cracked wall entrances within Adventure stages.
Exploration in the Expedition Talent tree enables entry to Vaults through cracked walls. Vaults are optional stage detours with a local challenge and reward chest. Unlocking the Talent is permanent; the loot inside belongs to the current run.
Purchase the Exploration Talent in the Expedition tree.
Enter an Adventure stage and watch for a visible wall crack.
From the main progression area, open the Expedition Talent tree.
Locate Exploration and buy it with Soul Essence if it is still locked.
Start an Adventure and scan stage walls as you clear rooms for cracked openings.
Approach a crack and interact when the entrance becomes available.
Enter the Vault and identify the challenge type shown by the room itself.
Complete the challenge, then open its reward chest and choose an option suited to the current build.
Return to the main stage and continue toward its exit or boss.
Farming tips
Vault layouts vary, so respond to the room you enter rather than planning around a fixed challenge.
Treat the chest as a run reward; Essence spent to unlock Exploration remains part of permanent progression.
Repeat, collect and use
Exploration is a one-time Talent unlock; Vault entrances can recur in later Adventure stages and runs, with variable layouts and rewards.
Common mistakes
Searching for cracks before buying Exploration: unlock the Talent first.
Expecting a specific chest item: compare the choices actually offered.
Entering every Vault regardless of build: skip a dangerous detour if its challenge threatens the run.
When to stop or switch
Stop investing in the unlock once Exploration is active; during a run, leave a Vault if its challenge is unsafe or its reward does not justify the detour.
