Where to farm
Garlic Clove seed mounds in City of Ephyra on the Surface route; dig with the Silver Spade and grow at the Crossroads.
Garlic starts as a Garlic Clove seed found in City of Ephyra. Take the Surface route, inspect its chambers for a mound, and dig it with the Silver Spade. You only need to unlock the Spade: gathering tools are active automatically after unlocking, so there is no separate tool selection before a run. A mound gives you a seed rather than ready Garlic. Bring it back to the Crossroads, plant it in an open garden plot, and harvest the crop when the garden indicates it is ready. Check the Cauldron before leaving so the harvest has a clear use.
Unlock the Surface route and reach City of Ephyra.
Unlock the Silver Spade in the Crossroads gathering tools.
Have an available garden plot and identify a recipe that needs Garlic.
Choose a Surface run and advance to City of Ephyra.
Inspect each chamber and its accessible paths for a seed mound.
Interact with a mound to dig it using the Silver Spade.
Collect the Garlic Clove seed and continue checking rooms before leaving the region.
Return to the Crossroads and plant the seed in an open garden plot.
Check the garden until it indicates the crop is ready, then harvest Garlic.
Use the crop for the planned Cauldron recipe or other current requirement.
Farming tips
An Underworld route does not substitute for the Ephyra seed search.
Track seeds and grown crops as separate inventory stages; the seed must go through the garden.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat Ephyra searches while more Garlic is needed. Mounds vary by room, and the seed must be planted and grown before it supplies Garlic. Harvest the ready crop, use it for the selected recipe, then check the ingredient list before deciding to repeat.
Common mistakes
Searching the wrong route: Garlic Clove seeds are associated with City of Ephyra on the Surface.
Bringing the Spade as a loadout choice: unlocking gathering tools makes them active automatically.
Spending the seed as though it were Garlic: plant it and harvest the mature crop first.
When to stop or switch
Stop collecting seeds when your harvested Garlic covers the planned requirement; switch to the next missing resource.
