WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A crop farm with access to the crafting station that offers the Veggie Oil recipe.
Veggie Oil is one possible destination for crop harvests, but the correct crop and station recipe depend on the current crafting setup. Choose the target recipe before planting, then protect seed stock from the processing line. This avoids reaching harvest with no usable input or consuming the produce needed to continue the farm. Use the available recipe interface to confirm the selected crop is accepted.
Seeds for a crop usable by the available Veggie Oil recipe.
A Dirt Mound or Crop Plot and the crop's growing inputs.
Access to the relevant crafting recipe or station.
Separate reserves for seeds, meals, and oil ingredients.
Open the available crafting recipe and confirm which crop input it accepts.
Select that crop and gather enough seed to establish a planting cycle.
Plant it in a compatible plot and supply the growing conditions it needs.
Harvest the crop and immediately set aside seeds for future planting.
Reserve any produce needed for meals or animal feed before processing.
Move the remaining eligible harvest to the recipe station and produce Veggie Oil.
Store the oil for its intended recipe or use, then repeat from the retained seed stock.
Farming tips
Confirm the recipe before committing a large farm to one crop; available recipes can depend on progression.
Keep the planting reserve outside the processing inventory to avoid converting the whole harvest.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat when another suitable harvest is ready and the recipe remains available. The amount of oil depends on the crop supply and recipe, so do not assume a fixed yield.
Common mistakes
Planting a crop before checking the Veggie Oil recipe input; verify the station recipe first.
Converting all harvested produce; retain seeds and any food or feed portion before processing.
Expecting oil from raw seeds alone; follow the recipe's actual listed input and station.
When to stop or switch
Stop processing once you have enough oil for the intended recipes or when further conversion would threaten seed or food reserves.
