Where to farm
Sanctuary of Eterra Echo near the starting area of a Timeline’s Echo Web.
Corruption is reversible. Find the Sanctuary of Eterra Echo near the start of the Timeline’s Echo Web, complete it, and choose one of the offered cleanse amounts. Use this when the difficulty increase is interfering with a reliable farm or boss route. Cleansing affects the Timeline’s difficulty and item rarity context, so check the result before resuming your loop.
Have access to the Timeline whose Corruption you want to reduce.
Locate the Sanctuary of Eterra Echo on its web.
Be able to complete the Sanctuary objective.
Open the Timeline Echo Web and identify the Sanctuary of Eterra node near the start.
Travel to that Echo and complete its objective.
At the Sanctuary, review the available Corruption reduction choices.
Select the amount that returns the Timeline to a manageable difficulty.
Confirm the Corruption value shown for that Timeline.
Run a fresh Echo or boss route and assess whether the new difficulty is appropriate.
Repeat a cleanse only if another reduction is still needed.
Farming tips
Use the Sanctuary as a control for difficulty, not as a way to gain Corruption; Shades are the Corruption-raising action.
Patch 1.5 addressed repeated-cleanse behavior, so verify that the displayed effects reflect each cleanse.
Repeat, collect and use
Limited by the Sanctuary’s available cleanse choices in that web; it is not an unlimited resource farm. A new web may provide another Sanctuary opportunity.
Common mistakes
Expecting the Sanctuary to raise Corruption: use Shades for gains and the Sanctuary for reduction.
Choosing a larger reduction than needed: select the option that preserves useful farming difficulty.
Assuming the first cleanse permanently prevents later choices: inspect the current Sanctuary interface.
When to stop or switch
Stop cleansing when the Timeline is again comfortable for your target farm; switch back to boss or Echo progression.
