Boss Ergo has an opportunity cost: consuming it as ordinary currency removes the option to exchange it for special equipment. When Alidoro’s service is available, compare the special weapon and amulet options before choosing. This does not create more boss Ergo; it helps turn a one-time boss reward into the item that best supports your build.
Before you go Defeat a boss that awards a special Ergo item. Retain that Ergo instead of consuming it for ordinary currency. Reach Alidoro and unlock his exchange service. After defeating a boss, check your inventory for its special Ergo reward. Do not use the item if you may want the weapon or amulet it can unlock. Reach Alidoro once his exchange service becomes available. Open the exchange options for the specific boss Ergo you retained. Compare the offered special weapon and amulet against your current equipment and intended build. Choose one item and complete the exchange, or leave the Ergo unused if you need more time to decide. Equip the selected item and check its upgrade path before spending Covenant Moonstones. Farming tips Consider whether the boss weapon’s moveset or the amulet’s effect fills a real need in your setup. Keep in mind that saving the Ergo delays its use as ordinary currency; make the choice before an urgent level-up if possible. Repeat, collect and use Each boss Ergo is a limited reward for that playthrough and normally supports a choice from its exchange options. It is not a repeatable farm.
Common mistakes Do not consume boss Ergo for ordinary Ergo before checking Alidoro’s options. Do not assume the exchange provides both rewards; compare and choose the offered item you want. Do not spend special weapon stones before checking whether the exchanged weapon uses them.
