WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
At resource patches and around the homestead, wherever loose drops or collectible water are available.
The Resource Vacuum Mk. 1 is a collection tool for loose resources and water. It does not replace the tool that breaks a deposit or clears vegetation; use it after the gathering action to pick up material left on the ground. Its Milestone 1 unlock makes it useful early in the resource loop.
Milestone 1: Mech Tools to unlock Resource Vacuum Mk. 1.
A mech gathering tool such as the Spike Saw for producing resource drops.
Open ground around the patch to sweep for loose items.
Complete Milestone 1: Mech Tools to unlock the Resource Vacuum Mk. 1.
Fit or select the Resource Vacuum on the mech before starting a collection trip.
Use the appropriate tool to break a deposit, cut a tree, or otherwise release loose resources.
Move the mech over the drop area and operate the vacuum to collect loose items.
Sweep around the edge of the patch as well as the main drop point before leaving.
Use the vacuum for water collection where water is available and needed.
Return to storage and sort the recovered resources by their next use, such as crafting, construction, or delivery.
Farming tips
The vacuum gathers loose material; bring the correct breaking or cutting tool to generate drops.
Do a short sweep before moving on so resource pieces do not remain behind.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a repeatable collection step whenever loose resources or collectible water are present. Unlocking the Mk. 1 through Milestone 1 is a one-time progression step.
Common mistakes
Trying to break deposits with the vacuum: use the appropriate gathering tool first.
Assuming a missed resource was collected: check the ground around the full drop area.
Using it without unlocking the tool: complete Milestone 1: Mech Tools first.
When to stop or switch
Stop sweeping once the patch is clear and the intended drops are collected; continue the resource route or return home when cargo is sufficient.
