Where to farm
Rocky outcrops in Outset Grasslands around the homestead.
Outset Grasslands is the supported starter-region destination for Aluminum. Work rocky outcrops for the Aluminum material you need, and use the mech’s gathering tools to collect the result. A slime-covered patch may need restoration before its native resources are available.
Mech tools appropriate for breaking or collecting rocky outcrop resources.
Resource Vacuum Mk. 1 to gather loose drops, if available.
Start from the homestead and travel through accessible rocky outcrops in Outset Grasslands.
Check whether the resource patch is obscured by Noxious Slime; clear it with the appropriate mech tool if needed.
Identify Aluminum-bearing outcrops rather than spending the trip on ordinary stone.
Use your mech’s gathering tool on the outcrop to release the resource.
Sweep the ground for loose Aluminum with the Resource Vacuum if you have unlocked it.
Return to the homestead and separate Aluminum for construction from any stock reserved for deliveries.
Mark the useful outcrops in your own route notes so a later gathering trip can focus on the same target.
Farming tips
Outset Grasslands is the stated Aluminum region; do not route to Frostpeak or Hexagon Valley expecting the same target.
Gather only the amount needed for current builds if cargo space is better used for other starter materials.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the collection pass through available Aluminum-bearing outcrops as needed. Resource availability depends on the patch being accessible and restored.
Common mistakes
Collecting ordinary stone while expecting Aluminum: inspect the outcrop target before using the tool.
Leaving drops on the ground: vacuum around the broken outcrop before moving on.
Traveling to later regions for a starter-region resource: use Outset Grasslands for this route.
When to stop or switch
Stop once current construction, upgrade, and delivery needs are covered; switch to another material route when the active build no longer calls for Aluminum.
