Gather Copper Ore from deposits for construction and upgrades, or supply an Assembler when you need Copper Wire.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Small Copper Deposits in cleared resource patches, including the Copper-bearing Hexagon Valley region as progression allows.
Small Copper Deposits provide a direct ore-gathering target. Break deposits with the Spike Saw, then vacuum the loose material rather than leaving drops behind. Copper Chunks are another recorded source of Copper Ore, and a Mineral Crusher can improve their yield, but this route focuses on deposits.
Check that the target patch is available and cleared of Noxious Slime if it is a native resource area.
Locate Small Copper Deposits and position the mech close enough to work the deposit safely.
Use the Spike Saw to break the deposit and release Copper Ore.
Sweep the loose Ore with Resource Vacuum Mk. 1, unlocked through Milestone 1: Mech Tools.
Check the ground around the deposit before leaving so dropped pieces are not missed.
Carry Ore home and sort it between construction stock and any planned Copper Wire batch.
If you are collecting Copper Chunks instead, take them to a Mineral Crusher to improve their ore yield.
Farming tips
Unlock the Resource Vacuum through Milestone 1 before relying on it to gather loose drops.
Keep construction Ore separate from Assembler input so a wire run does not consume stock needed for a build.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat at accessible deposits while they are available in cleared patches. Deposit gathering is separate from the Copper Chunk and Mineral Crusher route.
Common mistakes
Breaking deposits without collecting the drops: sweep the ground with the vacuum before leaving.
Treating chunks and deposits as the same method: chunks can be crushed; this route mines Small Copper Deposits directly.
Using all Ore in processing: reserve enough for current construction needs.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your construction reserve and intended processing batch are covered; return later when you unlock more Copper-bearing areas or need another wire batch.
