Where to farm
Outset Grasslands around the starting homestead.
Outset Grasslands surrounds the homestead and is the first regional resource loop. Clearing Noxious Slime makes native crop and resource patches available. Plan a trip around a specific need—such as seeds, timber, fiber, stone, or Aluminum—rather than carrying an unfocused mix home.
Sprout Cannon and Spike Saw for restoration and clearing tasks as needed.
Resource Vacuum for loose drops, if unlocked.
Storage space for the selected crop or material target.
Choose one or two targets from the region’s native resources: Wheat, Polyberry, Caroot, Wood, Plant Fiber, Stone, or Aluminum.
Travel from the homestead to the target patches and check for Noxious Slime.
Clear slime with the suitable mech tool so the region’s native crops and resources become available.
Harvest the matching crop or work the resource patch for your chosen target.
Collect loose drops with the Resource Vacuum if available, and check the ground before leaving each patch.
Return to the farm and sort seeds, crop goods, and materials into separate stock.
Read the Resource Delivery Cannon request before loading goods that could also be needed for construction.
Farming tips
Restoration is part of the gathering route: a slime-covered patch may not yet offer its native resources.
Prioritize Aluminum and crop seeds when early progression needs them; carry only secondary materials if you have room.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the route for accessible patches as your stock is used. Clearing a region is a progression task; the collection trips can continue as targets remain useful.
Common mistakes
Trying to harvest native resources before clearing slime: restore the patch first.
Filling cargo with unrelated items: choose a target before leaving the homestead.
Loading seed reserves into the cannon: keep planting stock aside.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the selected build, planting, or delivery target is satisfied; switch to a different region when its native crops or materials are the missing item.
