WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Umbral versions of regions and boss arenas throughout Mournstead; check visible memory scenes with the Umbral Lamp, including arenas after major boss fights.

This is a finite exploration sweep, not an enemy respawn farm. Umbral Stigmas are memory scenes that become interactive in Umbral; Soulflaying one completes the scene and awards Umbral Scourings. Their value is easy to miss when you rush through a boss arena or leave a side path before checking the Lamp. Plan a sweep while progressing through areas you already need to cross, then spend the currency with Molhu after unlocking his Offer Remembrance service. Keep this route separate from repeatable enemy loops: an activated Stigma is a one-time pickup for that playthrough, so resting does not make it return.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Carry and use the Umbral Lamp, and be able to shift into Umbral to reveal and interact with memory scenes.
  • Have a goal for Umbral Scourings, such as buying an item from a boss Remembrance at Molhu.
  • Be prepared to search side paths and revisit a recently cleared boss arena in Umbral before leaving the region.
  1. When entering a new region, note visible blue memory markers and any places where the Umbral Lamp reveals a route or silhouette.
  2. Shift into Umbral when safe and approach a Stigma until the Soulflay interaction is available.
  3. Soulflay the Stigma and let its memory scene finish; confirm the Umbral Scourings reward appears before leaving.
  4. After defeating a major boss, check the arena in Umbral for its post-fight Stigma before returning to a Vestige.
  5. Search the nearby optional branches you already opened, but avoid treating every blue Umbral object as a Stigma; interact only with the memory scene.
  6. At Skyrest Bridge, shift to Umbral and speak with Molhu after giving him the Bowl of Revelations if you want to trade a Remembrance for gear.
  7. Track your currency and the specific Remembrance cost, then resume exploration when you have not yet funded the planned purchase.

Farming tips

  • Stigmas are one-time rewards for a playthrough; resting resets ordinary enemies, not collected memory scenes.
  • Boss Remembrance purchases also require the matching Remembrance, so Scourings alone do not unlock every item.

Repeat, collect and use

One-time per available Stigma in the current playthrough. New regions and defeated major bosses can provide additional scenes; a Vestige rest does not respawn a Stigma.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving a boss arena without checking Umbral: some post-fight memory scenes are only available after the encounter.
  • Expecting an activated Stigma to respawn after resting: keep exploring for other scenes instead.
  • Arriving at Molhu without unlocking Offer Remembrance or carrying the matching Remembrance: verify the service and item before budgeting Scourings.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the planned remembrance purchase is funded or the reachable Stigmas in the current region are exhausted; continue normal exploration for further one-time scenes.
