Where to farm

Overworld — flower patch with a bee nest or placed beehive and clear bee access.

Bees gather nectar from nearby flowers and raise their home's honey level when they return. At level 5, harvest with shears for honeycomb or an empty bottle for honey. These are separate outputs, so choose the one the current recipe needs.

How to farm

Before you go

Bees in a nest or beehive.
Flowers near the bee home.
Shears for honeycomb or empty glass bottles for honey.
Lit campfire below with unobstructed smoke, or a dispenser harvest setup.

Find a bee nest or place a beehive where bees can reach nearby flowers.
Keep flowers available so bees can collect nectar and return to their home.
Wait until the nest or hive reaches honey level 5.
For honeycomb, use shears on the full home; for honey, use an empty glass bottle instead.
For manual harvesting, put a lit campfire within five blocks below the home and keep the smoke path clear.
Collect the output and store it for beehives, candles, honeycomb blocks, waxing copper or the intended bottle use.
Leave the flowers and bee home in place so bees can refill honey after the harvest.

Farming tips

A dispenser facing the bee home can use shears or bottles for harvesting; test its contents and output collection before leaving it unattended.
Harvesting a full nest with shears yields three honeycombs, while a bottle produces the separate honey-bottle output.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable after bees return with nectar and rebuild honey level 5; each harvest resets the level.

Common mistakes

Harvesting before level 5: wait until the home is full.
Using shears or bottles without calming bees: ensure unobstructed campfire smoke or use a dispenser arrangement.
Assuming honeycomb and bottles are interchangeable outputs: choose the tool for the product you need.
