WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
High Rank Field Investigations registered through Alma from roaming monsters.
Sword Orbs are rewards for weapon decorations. They need no separate appraisal visit: when the hunt ends, they resolve into jewels on the results screen. Use the world-map reward preview to find a High Rank Investigation listing Sword Orbs, save it through Alma, and complete the hunt. The jewels you receive are randomized, so focus on accumulating orbs and then assess the actual skills. A useful result still needs to fit the weapon’s slot level, indicated by the triangles on the jewel and slot. Keep unwanted decorations for a later melding session rather than discarding them automatically.
Have Alma register a roaming monster’s hunt as an Investigation.
Have a weapon with decoration slots, or a plan to use the jewels later.
Open the region map and inspect roaming monsters’ reward previews.
Choose a target listing Sword Orbs and note the displayed rarity.
Save the hunt as an Investigation through Alma.
Launch the saved hunt from Alma and complete it.
Collect the rewards and allow Sword Orbs to appraise automatically.
At a tent or Gemma’s Smithy, open equipment management.
Select a weapon decoration slot and fit a jewel whose level the slot can hold.
Farming tips
Sword Orbs yield weapon decorations; Armor Orbs are for armor jewels.
Compare the triangle levels before equipping, since a jewel needs a slot with sufficient capacity.
Repeat, collect and use
A saved Investigation allows up to three clears. When its attempts are spent, inspect other roaming monsters for Sword Orb rewards.
Common mistakes
Searching for a manual appraisal counter; appraisal occurs when the hunt ends.
Registering a target that lists only Armor Orbs; confirm Sword Orbs in the preview.
Trying to fit a higher-level jewel into a smaller slot; compare triangle levels.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the weapon has the desired skills or its useful slots are filled. If the saved hunt is spent or no longer matches your goal, choose another preview.
