High Rank armor pieces can have α and β variants with different build tradeoffs. Alpha pieces provide more built-in bonuses but fewer decoration slots; beta pieces reduce preset bonuses to offer more slots. Variants can also differ in Group Skills. This is not a material farm on its own: it is a crafting decision that clarifies which slots and skills your armor plan needs before you spend materials or farm more decorations. Check the exact skills and slot levels in Gemma’s menu, then compare them with the jewels you own and the Group Skills you want from a mixed set.
This is a one-time crafting choice per piece, but other pieces or variants can be forged when you have the listed materials.
Stop when the armor set supports your desired skills and decoration plan. Farm a specific missing jewel or material rather than forging redundant variants.
