WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Quests and Investigations against the specific monster whose part is tied to your needed material.
Monster parts are not all obtained the same way. Check Hunter’s Notes for the material’s acquisition details before choosing a weapon or hunt plan. When a break is relevant, focus attacks on that body part, finish the quest, and collect the part-break rewards separately from ordinary quest rewards.
Identify the required material and whether the game lists a part break as a source.
Bring a weapon or approach that can reach the target part reliably.
Choose a quest with the correct monster and suitable conditions.
Open Hunter’s Notes and inspect the target monster’s material and part information.
Select a quest or Investigation for that monster, checking whether capture or slaying is needed for other desired rewards.
Equip your usual hunt gear and bring tools appropriate to the part and monster.
Engage the target and direct attacks toward the listed breakable part.
Watch for the break indication, then continue the hunt objective.
Capture or slay according to the quest and the material source you are pursuing.
At the reward screen, check part-break, capture, and quest rewards separately.
Farming tips
A part break can contribute its own reward but does not replace the quest completion rewards.
If the target part is hard to reach, use openings after attacks and avoid spreading damage across other parts.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat on a suitable quest until you receive enough material; reward results are not guaranteed by a break unless the item’s acquisition details say so.
Common mistakes
Focusing on the wrong part: verify the material’s source in Hunter’s Notes first.
Killing a capture objective: follow the quest objective and capture when required.
Assuming the break guarantees the rare item: check the reward pool and repeat if the material does not appear.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the required quantity is in your inventory, or switch to another acquisition method listed for that material.
