WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Abandoned Ruins #1, entered from the ruins entrance near the Research Center.
Abandoned Ruins #1 is the dependable early source of Copper Ore. A run can also produce relic pieces, but those come from scanner targets rather than ore patches. Keep the two outputs separate so you can plan workshop stock and relic recovery independently.
Before you go Buy the weekly ruin access pass and bring a pickaxe. Bring the Relic Detector if you also want to search for relic pieces. Leave inventory space for ore and recovered items. Buy the access pass and enter Abandoned Ruins #1. Use the in-ruin scanner to identify dig targets, keeping track of relic pings separately from colored ore patches. Use the pickaxe on copper-bearing patches to gather Copper Ore. Use the jetpack to move through the dig area and scan again when you want to locate further targets. Collect relic pieces only when useful; they are a separate product from the copper patches. Return to the Workshop and reserve ore for current builds before smelting or selling any surplus. Farming tips Use the elevator to revisit a saved floor when available, rather than spending a run searching randomly. A pass grants limited weekly access, so decide whether ore or relic recovery is the priority before entering. Repeat, collect and use Repeat on later weekly passes as needed; the pass limits access, but the resource farm is ongoing.
Common mistakes Mining only relic targets misses the copper patches; check the colored terrain as well. Treating every scanner signal as ore wastes time; scanner targets are for relic recovery. Selling all ore can delay builds; retain the amount needed for active workshop plans. When to stop or switch Stop once you have enough Copper Ore for the next planned build or bar batch, then switch to another workshop bottleneck.
