WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Bushes, small plants, and visible ground forage along Portia’s roads and countryside.
Collect small plants and forage while traveling around Portia. Use the tool indicated by the object: trees and brush call for an Axe, while rocky objects need a pickaxe. Gathered plant materials are not crop seeds, so sort them before deciding whether they belong in crafting stock or the shipping box.
Before you go Carry an Axe and pickaxe for the different gatherable objects. Leave inventory space for plant drops and forage. Know which materials current recipes or commissions require. Walk the paths around the Workshop and town, checking bushes and visible ground plants. Use the appropriate tool shown by each object rather than striking everything with one tool. Pick up Plant Fiber and other drops after clearing the object. Continue along the route while collecting forage nodes that are visibly available. At home, sort Plant Fiber and forage from seeds and crop harvests. Keep materials needed for crafting or active commissions, and ship only genuine surplus. Farming tips Combine gathering with trips to the Commerce Guild or other errands to avoid a dedicated detour. Leave space in your inventory before a sweep so valuable drops are not missed. Repeat, collect and use Repeat as you travel; gatherable materials return through the world loop, so this is an ongoing collection activity.
Common mistakes Treating forage as crop seed can disrupt planning; check item names before planting. Using the wrong tool slows collection; follow the object’s indicated tool. Selling a material needed for a current recipe creates extra work; check your active build list first. When to stop or switch Stop when current crafting needs are covered or inventory is nearly full, then return to production or another resource route.
