Use an Axe to gather Wood from trees around Portia, and collect Hardwood from larger trees when your tool can handle them. After restoring Tree Farm access, paid deliveries can supplement local gathering. Choose the free route when cash is tight and the delivery route when time or a large stock requirement matters more.
Before you go Bring an Axe for field gathering. Complete the Tree Farm questline before ordering deliveries. Have Gols available if you choose paid deliveries. Check the Workshop inventory and note whether Wood or Hardwood is the shortage. Chop nearby trees with the Axe and pick up the dropped material. Target larger trees for Hardwood when your current Axe can fell them. If Tree Farm is unlocked and you need bulk stock, visit Dawa’s table and select the delivery for the wood type required. Pay the displayed fee and collect the order when it is ready. Return materials to the Workshop and reserve enough for active builds before using surplus. Farming tips Free chopping is a useful cash-saving option for small needs. Set delivery preferences around upcoming builds rather than ordering a pile without a use. Repeat, collect and use Local gathering can be repeated as trees return; Tree Farm deliveries are repeatable after unlocking but cost Gols each time.
Common mistakes Ordering deliveries before Tree Farm access is restored is not possible; finish its unlock quest first. Assuming every tree yields Hardwood can lead to the wrong stock; prioritize larger trees for it. Spending all Gols on deliveries can compromise commissions; compare cost with local gathering. When to stop or switch Stop gathering when the next build’s material list is covered, then use workshop time for processing or commissions.
