Copper and Tin Scrap

Recover copper and tin materials from salvage for workshop crafting and commissions.

PC / Global, full release 1.0+
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Scrap piles in the Eufaula Salvage scrapyard; use the Recycler at your Workshop to process the collected scrap.

Copper Scrap and Tin Scrap are separate salvage inputs for the Recycler. Gather each from the scrapyard, then follow the machine’s listed process to collect its material returns. This route suits workshop jobs that need processed salvage; mine the Eufaula ruins when you need raw ore instead.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A Pickhammer and access to Eufaula Salvage.
  • A built Recycler with fuel accepted by its interface.
  • Inventory space for scrap and processed outputs.
  1. Go to the Eufaula Salvage scrapyard and inspect the available piles for Copper Scrap or Tin Scrap.
  2. Break a pile with the Pickhammer and collect the scrap it yields; check the item name so you know which input you have.
  3. Repeat on suitable piles until you have enough of the required scrap for your current recipe or order.
  4. Return to the Workshop and review the Recycler’s accepted inputs and displayed outputs.
  5. Select the matching copper or tin process, checking the output list before committing the batch.
  6. Load the scrap and accepted fuel, then allow the Recycler to finish its displayed cycle.
  7. Collect the results and store them or move them to the next station required by your recipe.

Farming tips

  • Keep Copper Scrap and Tin Scrap identified separately in storage so you can match the right input to a build or commission.
  • Use the Recycler for scrap returns; mine ore in the ruins and process it through the appropriate ore workflow when raw ore is what your recipe needs.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat scrapyard collection and Recycler processing whenever you need more copper or tin materials. The loop is repeatable; the amount gathered and returned depends on the scrap collected and the Recycler process selected.

Common mistakes

  • Treating Tin Scrap as Tin Ore can lead to the wrong machine; check the item name and use the Recycler for scrap.
  • Loading scrap into a furnace expecting Recycler returns skips the correct process; use the Recycler for scrap and the furnace workflow for ore.
  • Spending all processed output on optional crafting can leave an active commission or construction job short; reserve its listed requirement first.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the copper and tin materials required by the current recipe, build, or commission. If the remaining need is raw Copper Ore, switch to mining the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.
