WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Forest Caves
Cave entrances on Forest islands, including the starting Forest region.
Before you go
- A Pickaxe for ore-bearing rocks and Stone.
- A weapon and food for hostile encounters.
- Light and inventory space for exploration.
Farming steps
- Locate a cave entrance on a Forest island and prepare before descending.
- Move through the corridors and clear nearby enemies before mining or opening objects.
- Mine exposed Copper Ore and useful Stone with the Pickaxe.
- Inspect side passages and accessible rooms for chests and other resources.
- Use the map to track explored passages and identify branches you have not checked.
- Turn back when health, supplies or inventory space make continuing unwise.
- Return to the settlement, smelt ore and store the rest of the haul.
- Bring enough room for ore, Stone and chest finds rather than filling your inventory with only one material.
- Mark or remember a convenient exit so future trips are easier to manage.
Repeat, collect and use
Cave exploration can be repeated for more ore and materials; room layouts and useful finds vary by cave.
Common mistakes
- Mining while enemies are nearby: clear the area before stopping to gather.
- Ignoring branches: inspect revealed side paths before leaving if supplies allow.
- Keeping raw ore indefinitely: process it at a Furnace back at the settlement.
When to stop or switch
Leave when your planned Copper supply is collected, your inventory is crowded, or your combat supplies are running low.
