WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Farmer Seed and Sapling Trade

A Farmer NPC in a village; the NPC may also visit your settlement with additional trade opportunities.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Explore until you find a village and locate its Farmer NPC.
  2. Open the trade interaction and review the Seeds, Saplings and other available items.
  3. Choose seed or sapling types that match a crop or orchard goal you have identified.
  4. Purchase the desired stock with coins and keep varieties separated in inventory or storage.
  5. Return to the settlement and plant the seeds in Farmland or place saplings in the orchard.
  6. Harvest crops when ready and reserve some seed stock for future planting.
  7. Sell surplus Wheat or Sunflower to the Farmer when the trade is useful, then use coins for further supplies.

Repeat, collect and use

Trade can be revisited when a Farmer is available; shop stock is not guaranteed to include a specific item every time.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting a fixed seed selection: inspect current stock and plan around what is offered.
  • Selling all Wheat or Sunflower: reserve what you need for your own uses first.
  • Buying saplings without an orchard plan: make sure you have space and a use for the resulting fruit.

When to stop or switch

Stop purchasing when you have enough planting stock to establish the intended plot or orchard; return to trade when new seeds or coins are needed.
