WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm A Farmer NPC in a village; the NPC may also visit your settlement with additional trade opportunities.
A Farmer NPC in a village sells Seeds, Saplings and other items, and buys Wheat and Sunflower from the player. This gives exploration a direct route to new planting stock and turns certain harvest surpluses into coins. Visit a village Farmer, inspect the available trade, and buy only varieties that fit your planned fields or orchard. The stock can vary, so treat the shop as a source to check rather than a guarantee of a particular seed on every visit.
Before you go Access to a village or a Farmer visiting the settlement. Coins for purchases. Wheat or Sunflower harvest if you intend to sell crops. Explore until you find a village and locate its Farmer NPC. Open the trade interaction and review the Seeds, Saplings and other available items. Choose seed or sapling types that match a crop or orchard goal you have identified. Purchase the desired stock with coins and keep varieties separated in inventory or storage. Return to the settlement and plant the seeds in Farmland or place saplings in the orchard. Harvest crops when ready and reserve some seed stock for future planting. Sell surplus Wheat or Sunflower to the Farmer when the trade is useful, then use coins for further supplies. Farming tips Check the trade inventory before spending; buy toward a named planting goal rather than collecting everything. Keep enough crop output for your own recipes before selling Wheat or Sunflower. Repeat, collect and use Trade can be revisited when a Farmer is available; shop stock is not guaranteed to include a specific item every time.
Common mistakes Expecting a fixed seed selection: inspect current stock and plan around what is offered. Selling all Wheat or Sunflower: reserve what you need for your own uses first. Buying saplings without an orchard plan: make sure you have space and a use for the resulting fruit. When to stop or switch Stop purchasing when you have enough planting stock to establish the intended plot or orchard; return to trade when new seeds or coins are needed.
