Mission rewards can include useful materials, including Umbracite on supported clears. This is a finite collection route: check an uncleared mission's reward list, complete it once, then collect and spend the reward where it helps your build. Region progression unlocks more missions, so revisit the map as new areas become available rather than repeatedly clearing a mission whose first-clear reward is already claimed.
Before you go Unlock the mission through regional progression. Review the mission reward list before starting. Have access to the Blacksmith if you intend to use Umbracite for tempering. Open the world map and select an uncleared mission available in your current region. Review the reward panel for materials you need, including any Umbracite shown. Choose a mission difficulty you can complete without excessive risk. Prepare a weapon and equipment setup for the mission's encounters. Complete the mission and collect its results from the reward screen. Check your material inventory to confirm what was added. Visit the Blacksmith to craft or temper with the materials, then check newly unlocked missions for further first clears. Farming tips Prioritize missions with materials relevant to your current equipment goal rather than clearing the map without a use in mind. The Starting Point includes the Shrine, Blacksmith, and mission services; return there to manage rewards and equipment. Repeat, collect and use Limited: a mission's first-clear material reward is one-time for that clear state. Ordinary mission completion rewards may differ; inspect the panel.
Common mistakes Treating first-clear material rewards as repeatable: move to another uncleared mission or an eligible Twilight reward. Starting without checking the panel: the material you want may not be listed. Spending rare materials on gear you will replace soon: temper or craft around a clear build goal. When to stop or switch Stop once the relevant first-clear rewards are claimed or your material need is met; return to newly unlocked regions for other eligible missions.
