Target a Mezuki Soul Core

A named Mezuki encounter gives you a direct chance to obtain the Soul Core for its yokai ability, but the Underworld floor-one listing is not marked as respawning.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

The Golden Castle, last Shrine, or the Mezuki Crucible encounter on Underworld floor one.

Mezuki can drop its matching Soul Core. The listed options include the last Shrine in The Golden Castle and the boss on Underworld floor one. The floor-one listing is not marked as a respawning encounter, so treat that route as one attempt during that floor clear. For a repeatable route, use The Golden Castle encounter only if your current route lets you respawn Mezuki there; the available listing identifies the location but does not establish its reset behavior. A kill is a chance, not a guaranteed Core. Purify any Core you keep at a Shrine, then compare its rank and traits with your equipped one.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Unlock The Golden Castle or the Underworld and floor one.
  • For a repeat attempt, confirm the Golden Castle encounter can be reset on your chosen route.
  • Prepare healing, equipment, and Soul Cores at a nearby Shrine.
  1. Choose the Golden Castle route for a repeat attempt, or floor one for a single attempt during its clear.
  2. At the nearby Shrine, prepare your equipment and replenish what you can.
  3. Reach Mezuki and learn its attack rhythm before committing to long combos.
  4. Punish recovery windows and respond to Burst Attacks when you can do so safely.
  5. Defeat Mezuki and inspect the drops for its Soul Core.
  6. At a Shrine, purify the Core before evaluating or equipping it.
  7. If using floor one, finish the clear and do not count that Mezuki as a repeatable spawn; use another listed encounter for another attempt.

Farming tips

  • Check traits and rank against your build before replacing an equipped Core.
  • If the Golden Castle route does not reset Mezuki for you, treat it as one attempt and select another eligible encounter.

Repeat, collect and use

The Underworld floor-one Mezuki is a one-time attempt per floor clear; it is not marked as a respawn. The Golden Castle location is listed, but repeat it only when your route allows the encounter to reset. Soul Core drops are not guaranteed.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming floor-one Mezuki respawns: complete the floor and choose another listed attempt.
  • Expecting a Core every kill: inspect drops and plan for multiple eligible attempts.
  • Equipping every Core immediately: purify it and compare its traits and rank first.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have a Core that serves your build, or switch to another listed Mezuki encounter after the floor-one attempt is spent.
