WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A planetary gas hotspot located with the Multi-Tool Survey Device.
Locate the gas type you need with Survey mode, build matching Gas Extractors at the hotspot, and connect them to storage and power. Gas and mineral detection are separate survey choices, and they use different extractor equipment. Treat the target gas name as the deciding factor: an attractive site is not useful if it yields a different input than your recipe requires.
Base Computer and a build area covering the target.
Gas Extractor and Supply Depot blueprints.
Power source, supply pipes, and inventory room for the collected gas.
On the planet, enter Survey mode and change detection to gas.
Follow the signal until the hotspot is identified and read its gas name.
Mark the hotspot and establish or extend a base so the site is buildable.
Place Gas Extractors on the hotspot and Supply Depots for output storage.
Connect extractor and depot modules with supply pipes, then connect the system to power.
Verify the network is connected before leaving the planet.
Return to the depots and collect the stored gas for your crafting chain.
Farming tips
Select gas detection explicitly; mineral and power scanning will not lead you to the target gas.
Build storage for the amount you expect to collect before your next visit.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a repeatable automated production loop. Output accumulates while the setup is active until the connected storage fills, so return to collect and free capacity.
Common mistakes
Using a mineral extractor at a gas site will not make the required gas; match equipment to the hotspot type.
Choosing the first gas found without checking its name can leave the recipe unsupplied; identify the target input first.
Leaving an unpowered or unconnected setup stops the intended collection; verify power and pipe connections.
When to stop or switch
Stop adding equipment when the desired gas is arriving and storage meets your needs; add depots or capacity only if the storage fills before your planned return.
