Where to farm
A planet’s deep-level mineral hotspot, identified in Survey mode.
Use the Multi-Tool Survey Device to locate a deep-level mineral deposit, then build extraction and storage over the detected hotspot. The hotspot determines what the extractors produce, so choose one matching the material you actually need. You will need a base connection and power for the industrial setup; collect the stored material from its supply network when you return.
Base Computer and permission to build a base at the site.
Mineral Extractor and Supply Depot blueprints.
Power source and supply pipes to connect the equipment.
On a planet, switch the Multi-Tool to Survey mode and select mineral detection.
Follow the survey signal until the mineral hotspot resolves, then check the resource name.
Mark the location and place or extend a base so the build area covers the hotspot.
Build Mineral Extractors over the hotspot and place Supply Depots for stored output.
Connect extractors to depots with supply pipes and connect the system to power.
Check that the network is connected, then leave the base to produce material.
Return to the depots and transfer the stored mineral into your inventory.
Farming tips
Confirm the hotspot resource before building; an extractor is tied to the resource at its site.
A nearby electromagnetic hotspot can provide base power if you can extend the same base to it.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a repeatable production base. Leave it running and collect output on later visits; storage capacity limits how much can accumulate before collection.
Common mistakes
Building over a different resource hotspot produces the wrong material; verify the marker before construction.
Disconnected pipes or missing power prevent the intended setup; inspect connections before leaving.
Expecting unlimited storage can waste production time once depots fill; collect before the storage network is full.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding once the required resource arrives at a useful collection point and the storage capacity suits your return schedule; add extractors or depots only when more output is needed.
