Where to farm
Any zone marked Plagued on the map after completing all Breach content. Use the bonfire in that infected zone.
This Early Access endgame loop turns a map region into a harder combat route with a Plagued Boss at its center. Completing the enemy threshold and defeating the boss cleanses that zone. Enemies can drop Torn resources, and the boss can drop Unique items; neither reward is guaranteed.
Complete all Breach content to activate the Plague system.
Check the map for a currently infected zone.
Bring gear and consumables appropriate for the zone’s increased difficulty.
Open the map and choose a zone currently marked Plagued.
Travel to its bonfire and inspect the Plague state before committing resources.
Fight through the zone, collecting Torn resources from defeated enemies and clearing roughly 65% of its enemies.
When the Plagued Boss appears, locate and defeat it.
Collect the boss and enemy drops, then clear any remaining enemies until the zone is cleansed.
Return to town to use Torn resources for gear exaltation or to craft a Torn Effigy, as appropriate.
Farming tips
Take a route through enemy groups rather than rushing past them; the enemy threshold is part of the cleanse.
The Plague can infect zones over time, so base each run on the map’s current state.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat when another zone becomes Plagued. A cleared zone is cleansed; the sources do not establish a fixed reset schedule or guarantee a specific drop.
Common mistakes
Expecting the boss immediately: clear about 65% of the affected zone’s enemies first.
Assuming a Unique item is guaranteed: the boss has a chance to drop one, so treat it as a possible reward.
Burning resources without checking the difficulty: raising Plague Level increases both difficulty and rewards.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the zone is cleansed or switch to a currently infected zone if you need another Plague run.
