Where to farm
Enemy groups in a zone marked Plagued and the infected zone’s bonfire.
Plague runs can supply Torn resources while you work toward cleansing an infected zone. The resources have documented uses in gear exaltation and crafting a Torn Effigy. Gather them as part of the combat route, then decide whether to invest them in current gear or save them for another Plagued Boss summon.
Have a clear use in mind for Torn resources: exaltation or Effigy crafting.
Check the map and enter a currently infected zone.
Fight enemies along the route and collect any Torn resources they drop.
Continue until roughly 65% of the area’s enemies have been cleared.
Defeat the Plagued Boss when it appears; use a Torn Effigy at the bonfire if you want to summon it according to the active state.
Clear remaining enemies to cleanse the zone and collect any further drops.
Return to your gear or crafting interface and spend Torn resources on exaltation or an Effigy as needed.
Farming tips
Use the bonfire’s Plague Level option only when you intend to increase both difficulty and rewards.
Keep some resources for the use that best fits your next goal; exaltation and boss summoning compete for the same stock.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat when another zone becomes infected. Torn resource drops and the active zone can vary, and cleansing one zone does not establish a fixed refresh schedule.
Common mistakes
Assuming every enemy drops Torn materials: collect only what appears.
Spending everything without checking uses: compare exaltation and Effigy needs first.
Leaving before cleansing: clear the threshold, defeat the boss, then finish remaining enemies.
When to stop or switch
Stop after the zone is cleansed or when you have enough Torn resources for the next planned exaltation or Effigy.
