WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The bonfire in a zone currently marked Plagued, then the boss encounter in that same zone.
A Torn Effigy is a way to bring on the Plagued Boss encounter in an infected zone; it is not a separate Plague Leader hunt. The boss is part of the zone-cleansing activity, and defeating it completes the boss portion of the run. Enemy drops can also provide Torn resources for future uses.
Complete all Breach content to unlock Plague activity.
Have a Torn Effigy available if you want to summon the boss directly.
Confirm the map still marks the intended zone as infected.
Select an infected zone on the map and travel to its bonfire.
Clear enemies in the zone until you have defeated roughly 65% of them.
Return to or interact with the infected-zone bonfire and burn a Torn Effigy to summon the Plagued Boss.
Fight and defeat the boss, then collect its drops.
Clear remaining enemies if needed to finish cleansing the zone.
Use any Torn resources collected from enemies for gear exaltation or Effigy crafting.
Farming tips
Do not burn the Effigy before the enemy threshold; the documented boss appearance follows that progress.
The boss and reward depend on the active Plague state, so check the map rather than planning around a fixed boss-zone pairing.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat with an Effigy when a zone is infected and the required item is available. The Effigy is consumed, and the sources do not promise that a particular zone or boss will be available next.
Common mistakes
Searching for a separately named leader: the target is the zone’s Plagued Boss.
Using the Effigy before clearing enough enemies: reach roughly 65% enemy progress first.
Assuming a specific reward: collect what drops, but do not plan on a guaranteed Unique item.
When to stop or switch
Stop after defeating the boss and cleansing the zone; save remaining Effigies for a later infected zone if you have no current target.
