Crop Seeds and Plots

Growing crops in territory provides renewable food and plant materials, reducing the need to gather every batch in the wild.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Crop plots in your territory; seed and plantable-crop sources depend on the plant and your current world.

Build plots around a specific crop goal, plant seeds you have collected, and revisit the beds to check their conditions and harvest mature plants. The in-game crop display is the practical guide for each plant’s requirements, since needs vary by crop.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Territory space for crop plots.
  • Seeds or plantable crops for the intended planting.
  • Water and any other conditions shown for the chosen plant.
  1. Decide which food or crafting material you want before collecting seeds.
  2. Gather seeds or plantable crops during exploration and keep enough for the initial planting.
  3. Place crop plots in territory where you can inspect them easily.
  4. Plant the chosen seeds and check the in-game information for the crop’s water and light needs.
  5. Supply the conditions shown by the plot and inspect it again as the plants grow.
  6. Harvest mature plants and keep planting stock for the next round.

Farming tips

  • Start with a small number of plots so you can learn the crop’s requirements before expanding.
  • Keep crops with different water or light needs in separate groups for easier upkeep.

Repeat, collect and use

Replant after each harvest using saved seeds or newly collected planting stock; this is a renewable cultivation loop, but the output depends on the crop and its conditions.

Common mistakes

  • Planting without checking seed availability: gather enough planting stock before laying out many plots.
  • Assuming every crop has the same care needs: use each plot’s displayed condition and adjust accordingly.
  • Using every harvest immediately: reserve seeds or plantable crops to keep the next cycle going.

When to stop or switch

Stop planting a crop once you have enough food or materials stored, or switch the beds to a different plant that better fits your current needs.
