Beehive Honeycomb

Beehives produce Honeycomb for honey crafting and a later biofuel chain.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

On the raft, place the Beehive beside a Crop Plot that contains flowers; Bee Swarms are found on Evergreen Biome islands.

Catch a Bee Swarm on an Evergreen Biome island, turn it into a Bee Jar, then place a Beehive beside a flower-filled raft plot. The flower count beside the hive determines its Honeycomb yield category, so build a reliable flower patch before expanding the hive layout.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Sweep Net and Bee Jar for capturing and transporting a Bee Swarm.
  • Materials and recipe access to craft a Beehive.
  • Raft Crop Plot planted with flowers beside the hive.
  1. Travel to an Evergreen Biome island and locate a Bee Swarm.
  2. Use a Sweep Net to catch the swarm and obtain a Bee Jar.
  3. Return to the raft and craft a Beehive using its available recipe.
  4. Place the hive directly beside a Crop Plot containing flowers; island flowers do not feed a raft hive.
  5. Plant at least three flowers in the adjacent plot to begin production.
  6. For a larger yield category, provide six to eleven nearby flowers for two Honeycomb, or twelve or more for three.
  7. Check the hive exterior and collect Honeycomb when it appears; use it to craft Honey or store it for later processing.

Farming tips

  • Count flowers in the nearby plot rather than judging distance by eye; adjacency and flower count matter.
  • Protect the flower plot with a roof or Scarecrow while keeping it beside the hive.

Repeat, collect and use

After each collection, leave the flowers growing beside the hive and return to collect its next ready Honeycomb. The captive swarm and hive establish a continuing raft production setup.

Common mistakes

  • Placing a hive beside island flowers: the flowers must be in a raft Crop Plot.
  • Starting with fewer than three flowers: plant at least three adjacent flowers for production.
  • Allowing seagulls to remove flowers: protect the plot without moving it away from the hive.

When to stop or switch

Keep the hive while Honeycomb serves cooking or biofuel plans; pause expansion when the required Honeycomb output is covered by your existing hives.
