WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Underwater island reef walls, floating debris and barrels along the raft’s route.
Scrap is collected from island reefs and from floating debris, including barrels. Underwater nodes require a Hook. Keep some Scrap for recipes and convert only the amount needed into Nails, whose recipe uses two Scrap to produce three Nails.
Before you go Hook for underwater Scrap nodes and floating items. A raft that can anchor near an island. Crafting access for making Nails directly from Scrap. Anchor beside an island and enter the water with the Hook equipped. Follow the reef wall and harvest Scrap nodes with the Hook. Collect nearby reef materials during the same dive if doing so is safe. Surface before oxygen runs low and return to the raft with the collected Scrap. While sailing, use the Hook to collect reachable debris and barrels that pass the raft. Open collected barrels and store any Scrap alongside other useful supplies. At the crafting menu, use two Scrap to make three Nails when a construction recipe calls for them; keep some Scrap for direct recipe use. Farming tips Check storage before crafting Nails so you do not use Scrap needed for another item. A reef visit combines Scrap collection with other underwater materials, reducing the need for separate stops. Repeat, collect and use Collect Scrap during later reef trips and while gathering floating debris; craft Nails only as your current building plan requires.
Common mistakes Putting Scrap in the Smelter to make Nails: craft Nails directly from Scrap. Converting every piece to Nails: many recipes consume Scrap itself, so reserve a supply. Ignoring oxygen while collecting reef Scrap: surface and recover before continuing the reef pass. When to stop or switch Stop crafting Nails when you have enough for the current build; keep gathering Scrap when a new recipe or construction project needs it.
