WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The development farm areas in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter villages. Each area follows its village’s season.
Each village keeps its own seasonal growing conditions, so the farm’s season is determined by where you plant rather than by the calendar. Matching a crop to its preferred village is a practical way to support regular harvests, seed reserves, requests and village development.
Access to a restored village farm and its seed shop.
Seed packets for crops suited to that village’s season.
Sacred Umbrella for watering.
Choose a crop that suits the season of the village where you plan to grow it. Spring turnips, Summer corn and Autumn yams are examples; check the seed stock for Winter crops.
Buy a small batch of the chosen seed from that village’s shop, or use saved seed from an earlier harvest.
Till open field tiles with the Hoe and sow the seed.
Water the planted tiles with the Sacred Umbrella, then check the field during your regular village visits.
Harvest mature crops and sort them before selling: set aside any crop needed for a request or restoration task.
Check the harvest for returned seed and keep it for the next planting; buy replacements if the crop does not return seed.
Farming tips
The village’s themed season stays fixed as calendar months pass, so plant according to the village rather than the date.
Start with a manageable patch until you know how much seed and watering your crop plan uses.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat for each planting cycle. Harvests can return the planted seed, but do not assume every crop will replenish its seed stock.
Common mistakes
Planting by calendar season: use the village’s fixed season to choose the field.
Selling the whole harvest: reserve crops needed for requests and keep any returned seed.
Expanding too quickly: add rows only when you can keep them watered and harvest them.
When to stop or switch
Switch crops or villages when your current request, seed reserve or development target is met, or when the field’s season does not suit the next crop.
