WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Wild hemp plants outdoors and planter boxes inside a base.
Hemp turns planting stock and a maintained planter into a renewable cloth supply. Start with wild plants, then grow crops at a base where you can provide water and light. Preserve seeds or a clone if you want to continue the cycle.
A base location where cloth and planting stock can be stored.
Find wild hemp and harvest plants to obtain seeds.
Place a planter box at base and plant some seeds.
Provide water and light, checking that the planter receives both.
Inspect the plants after their genes become visible.
When a plant is ready, harvest its hemp output for cloth.
Before clearing a desirable plant, retain seeds or take a clone.
Store the cloth for clothing, medical supplies, or another planned craft.
Farming tips
Growth, yield, and hardiness traits affect production; inspect plants instead of assuming every seed is alike.
If using sprinklers, check their line of sight and verify that the planter receives enough water.
Repeat, collect and use
Replant saved seeds or clones, maintain water and light, harvest cloth, and retain enough planting stock for another crop cycle. This is a repeatable farm.
Common mistakes
Using every seed at once: keep planting stock for the next cycle.
Harvesting a useful specimen before cloning: preserve its genetics first if you want that strain.
Assuming nearby sprinklers cover every planter: check actual water delivery and adjust the layout.
When to stop or switch
Stop harvesting when you have the cloth needed for your craft, or pause planting if water supply or base security cannot support the crop.
