WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Sulfur nodes in rocky hills, mountains, cliffs, and other rock formations.
Sulfur ore comes from its own node type and must be smelted before it can enter the gunpowder chain. Plan the return as carefully as the mining, since a loaded trip can attract attention.
Before you go A rock or mining tool. A route through rocky terrain with a safe return option. A furnace, fuel, and storage at base. Set a goal for the sulfur you need for a planned gunpowder or ammunition craft. Find rocky terrain and identify a yellow-green sulfur node. Scan nearby approaches for players before beginning. Mine the node and follow visible hotspots when practical. Collect the ore and leave if the return route becomes unsafe. At base, put sulfur ore and fuel into a furnace. Collect the smelted sulfur and store it for the planned craft. Farming tips Hotspots increase resources per hit while consecutive hits continue; a miss resets the bonus. Sulfur is valuable, so a smaller safe haul can be preferable to carrying everything through a busy route. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the mine, return, and smelt loop as needed. This is an ongoing resource farm, not a one-time unlock.
Common mistakes Confusing sulfur with another node: verify the node appearance before mining. Expecting hotspots to increase total node output: they change per-hit yield only. Continuing a run after the route is contested: return with what you have rather than risking the whole load. When to stop or switch Stop when the smelted sulfur meets the current craft goal, or switch routes if the area draws attention.
