Where to farm
Inside a claimed flag area where the completed chest can be accessed and used for storage.
Place the chest blueprint within your flag area and provide the required components. At no Engineering skill, the recorded recipe uses eight Wooden Planks, thirty-six Rope, and either two Nails or two Bolts. Blueprint material costs can vary with Engineering skill, so check the displayed requirements before gathering.
Choose an accessible spot inside the flag radius with enough room to reach the chest after construction.
Place the Wooden Chest blueprint and inspect its displayed material requirements.
Gather eight planks, thirty-six rope, and either two nails or two bolts if the placer has no Engineering skill.
If the blueprint shows different requirements, follow its displayed list rather than assuming the no-skill recipe applies.
Add the required components to the blueprint and complete the construction interaction.
Open the finished chest and organize gathered supplies so the next resource run starts with clear inventory space.

Gathering the no-skill recipe without checking the placed blueprint can leave you short; use its current requirement list.
Placing outside the flag radius can prevent the expected base construction; confirm the claimed area first.
Building in a cramped corner can make storage awkward to access; reserve clear working space.
When to stop or switch
Stop collecting once the blueprint is complete and the chest serves your storage need; build another only when existing capacity is insufficient.
