WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Snowy regions and settlements across Skyrim; process at any accessible Alchemy Lab.
Snowberries grow in snowy parts of Skyrim and can be paired with several ingredients for a Fortify Enchanting potion. Blue Butterfly Wing, Hagraven Claw and Spriggan Sap are among the compatible partners. Gather enough for a planned enchantment session, brew at a lab, and drink the result just before enchanting.
Find Snowberries and a compatible Fortify Enchanting ingredient.
Have access to an Alchemy Lab.
Plan to enchant equipment at an Arcane Enchanter.
Harvest Snowberries during travel through snowy regions or near settlements where they grow.
Collect Blue Butterfly Wings, Hagraven Claw or Spriggan Sap if you need a compatible partner.
At an Alchemy Lab, confirm the shared Fortify Enchanting effect and brew the potion.
Store the finished potion until you are ready to enchant equipment.
Use the potion immediately before approaching an Arcane Enchanter.
Complete the enchantment session and keep any remaining potion for a later session if its effect remains useful.
Farming tips
Snowberries also have resistance-related effects, so consider whether a different recipe better serves your immediate need.
Collect them during trips in cold regions instead of making a dedicated journey for a small number.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat as ingredients become available and before later enchanting sessions. Snowberries regrow as plants over time; purchased or looted partners depend on their source.
Common mistakes
Do not drink the potion long before enchanting; use it immediately before the crafting session.
Do not substitute a random ingredient without verifying Fortify Enchanting is shared.
Do not brew more than you can use if your partner ingredients are scarce.
When to stop or switch
Stop gathering and brewing when you have the potion stock needed for your next enchantment batch, then resume before a future session.
