Favorite-Food Plort Cycle

Feeding a slime its favorite food is a direct way to increase plort output from a supported Corral.

PC / Global, full release 1.0 (Sep 23, 2025)
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

A Conservatory Corral beside the matching Garden or Coop, with plorts routed through the Collector.

Build a small production loop around one slime’s favorite food. Verify the favorite in the Slimepedia, grow or raise that food beside the Corral, then feed it consistently and collect the resulting plorts. The official guidance states that favorite food produces twice the plorts, making a reliable matching food supply useful for both income and crafting. Keep plorts routed to the right destination after collection.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A Corral holding slimes with a known favorite food.
  • A Garden or Coop that can supply that food.
  • Access to the Plort Market and Refinery for output routing.
  1. Choose a slime group and confirm its favorite food in the Slimepedia.
  2. Build or assign a nearby Garden or Coop to supply that food.
  3. Keep the Corral population within the amount your food source can support.
  4. Collect the favorite crop or prey from the plot or Coop.
  5. Feed it to the matching slime group rather than mixing food between pens.
  6. Gather the resulting plorts from the Collector.
  7. Reserve recipe inputs in the Refinery and sell surplus at the Market.

Farming tips

  • Establish the favorite-food supply before increasing slime numbers, so feeding remains consistent.
  • A Largo’s preferences and diets can complicate food assignment; check its in-game Slimepedia entry before dedicating a plot.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the harvest, feed, collect, and route cycle as long as the food source and slime group remain in place. The doubled favorite-food output applies when that food is fed.

Common mistakes

  • Using a food that is not the slime’s favorite; verify the favorite rather than guessing from diet alone.
  • Expanding the Corral beyond food capacity; keep the group sized to the Garden or Coop output.
  • Selling all plorts immediately; check recipe needs and retain crafting stock.

When to stop or switch

Switch to a different food setup only when changing the target slime group or when its favorite supply is no longer sustainable.
