WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Rainbow Island slime habitats for the two types you want to combine, then a Conservatory Corral with a matching food source.
A Largo forms when one slime eats a plort from another slime type. It combines both types, so feeding it can produce plorts associated with each. This makes Largo production a useful way to build a corral around a specific plort goal. Check the Slimepedia before choosing the pair: you need a food plan for the resulting Largo, and its preferred food can increase output. Keep the corral contained and its food supply dependable so you can collect plorts consistently.
A built Corral with containment suited to the slimes you plan to house.
Two slime types whose plorts you can obtain.
A Garden or Coop supplying food accepted by the resulting Largo.
Choose a target plort and identify a second slime type whose plort can create a Largo with the target slime.
Check both types’ diets and favorite foods in the Slimepedia; plan a reliable food source for the Largo.
Collect one slime type and a plort from the other, keeping them separate until you are ready to combine them.
Let one slime eat the other type’s plort to create the Largo.
Vacuum the Largo and release it into the prepared Corral.
Feed it food it accepts, prioritizing its favorite when you have a steady supply.
Collect the resulting plorts and send needed crafting inputs to the Refinery or sell surplus at the Plort Market.
Farming tips
Build the food plot or Coop before expanding the Largo population, so feeding does not become a bottleneck.
Use the Slimepedia to confirm the Largo’s diet and favorite food instead of assuming either parent’s preference.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the feeding and collection cycle as long as the Corral has Largos and food. The combination is a setup step; plort production continues through ongoing feeding.
Common mistakes
Combining slimes before checking the resulting diet; verify acceptable food and prepare a supply first.
Stocking more Largos than the food plot or Coop can support; scale the group to the available food.
Selling all collected plorts automatically; reserve types needed for the current Fabricator recipe.
When to stop or switch
Pause adding Largos when food becomes scarce or the Corral is difficult to manage; resume after restoring a dependable food supply or collecting enough target plorts.
