WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Wild Cattail, Cyclamen, Foxtail, Poppy and Rye patches.

Seeds are gathered from several large plant species and feed more than one production chain. A useful Seed run starts with a specific output in mind, collects from confirmed plants, and reserves enough raw Seeds before processing. The source material supports wild gathering and station conversion; it does not establish a repeatable planted crop cycle.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Harvesting tool suitable for the target plants.
  • Inventory room for Seeds and incidental plant drops.
  • Cutter Grinder/Stonecutter for Seed Oil or Windmill for Flour, if processing at home.
  1. Decide whether your immediate need is raw Seeds, Seed Oil or Flour.
  2. Travel to patches of Cattail, Cyclamen, Foxtail, Poppy or Rye.
  3. Harvest each named plant and collect the Seed drops; do not assume every plant yields the same quantity.
  4. Check the inventory periodically and stop if you have reached your planned raw reserve.
  5. Return home and separate Seeds from other plant materials.
  6. Use the Cutter Grinder/Stonecutter to make Seed Oil, or use the Windmill for Flour, when those are the intended outputs.
  7. Store any remaining Seeds for future recipes rather than consuming the entire haul.

Farming tips

  • The listed plants provide Seeds, but yields vary; base a trip on need rather than a promised count.
  • Reserve raw Seeds before making oil or Flour so you retain options for other uses.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat wild-plant harvesting when your Seed stock runs low. This article does not claim that planted seeds regrow into a guaranteed harvest.

Common mistakes

  • Harvesting only one species by assumption: several named plants are valid sources.
  • Processing the full stack immediately: retain a raw reserve.
  • Expecting a uniform amount per plant: inspect the pickup and gather until your actual need is met.

When to stop or switch

Stop once your raw Seed reserve and any planned processing batch are covered; switch to the relevant station when more field gathering is no longer needed.
