WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Rope Gun Cave, immediately uphill from the forest crash site.
Retrieve the Rope Gun from Rope Gun Cave before attempting caves that use zipline crossings. The cave is a hostile early progression area, so bring light and combat supplies. Once collected, the gun becomes a traversal tool for crossing gaps and reaching otherwise blocked routes.
Before you go Light source for the cave. Weapon, armor, and healing for hostile cave encounters. Inventory space for the Rope Gun. Locate the Rope Gun Cave entrance uphill from the forest crash site. Open the entrance and enter with your light source ready. Follow the cave's interior passages, checking the route as you proceed through narrow areas. Deal with mutants carefully and use healing when needed rather than rushing through threats. Continue to the dead-end pickup area and collect the Rope Gun. Equip it when you encounter cave zipline anchors and use it to cross gaps. Bring the Rope Gun to Shovel Cave to pass its stalagmite barrier. Farming tips The pickup is a prerequisite for the Shovel Cave route, so complete this cave before that expedition. Keep enough combat supplies for the return through the hostile passages. Repeat, collect and use One-time equipment pickup; retain the Rope Gun for later zipline traversal rather than seeking repeated copies.
Common mistakes Attempting Shovel Cave first; the zipline barrier requires the Rope Gun. Entering without light or healing; the cave route contains threats and narrow passages. Leaving the gun behind after pickup; it is a traversal requirement for later caves. When to stop or switch Stop once the Rope Gun is collected and you are back outside; proceed to Shovel Cave when the Rebreather and Air Tank are also ready.
