The Rebreather opens underwater routes and is a required piece of equipment for flooded sections of Shovel Cave.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Rebreather
Deep inside Rebreather Cave on the north coast, near a flooded chamber.
Before you go
- Light source for cave navigation.
- Weapon and healing supplies for cave threats.
- Inventory space for the Rebreather and Air Tanks.
Farming steps
- Find the marked Rebreather Cave entrance and break through its boards.
- Enter with your light ready and follow the descending cave route toward the flooded chamber.
- Move carefully as you approach the water; the shark can threaten you near the item.
- Pick up the Rebreather and nearby Air Tanks when you reach the chamber.
- Equip the Rebreather and use the underwater passage to continue toward the cave exit.
- Return to camp and keep spare Air Tanks with the device for future submerged routes.
- Bring both the Rebreather and an Air Tank supply when preparing for Shovel Cave.
- No keycard is needed to enter this cave, so it can be pursued before bunker progression.
- The Shark is a local hazard near the pickup; avoid lingering at the water's edge.
Repeat, collect and use
One-time equipment pickup; the Rebreather is retained for future use, while Air Tanks are consumable supplies to manage across dives.
Common mistakes
- Entering flooded routes without the device equipped; prepare it before swimming.
- Assuming the cave needs keycard access; locate the cave entrance and proceed with cave gear.
- Ignoring the shark while approaching the pickup; stay alert and move through the chamber promptly.
When to stop or switch
Stop exploring once you have the Rebreather and Air Tanks and have exited safely; return when equipped for another underwater objective.
