WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Chaos missions near your current equipment level, accessed through the world map after the story.

In Chaos, equipment level is a useful early check when a mission begins to feel punishing. The goal here is to improve the loadout through drops from a manageable stage, then move up only when the character is ready. The precise rewards vary by mission and level, so use the world-map display and the items actually collected rather than expecting a fixed piece.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete the story and unlock Chaos difficulty.
  • Choose a mission whose level is manageable for your current gear.
  • Have access to a cube or equipment menu to compare and equip drops.
  1. On the world map, select an accessible Chaos mission and review its level and reward panel.
  2. Prefer a mission that lists equipment rewards and is close to your present progression.
  3. Equip the strongest practical loadout for your active jobs before entering.
  4. Clear the mission and collect the equipment it awards or drops along the route.
  5. At a cube or after the clear, compare new items by equipment level, job affinity, and whether the build can use them.
  6. Replace pieces that improve the set without sacrificing the weapon or defenses your route needs.
  7. Return to the map and raise the mission tier only after the current one is comfortable.

Farming tips

  • A higher-level item is not automatically a better fit if it removes useful job affinity or makes the build less survivable.
  • Keep the current reliable stage available as a fallback for more drops.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the chosen mission for ordinary equipment drops and listed recurring rewards. Its first-clear reward is not renewable.

Common mistakes

  • Equipping every higher-level drop without checking job affinity; compare the whole loadout first.
  • Raising the mission level before improving weak slots; farm a comfortable stage until the gear gap narrows.
  • Expecting a specific item on every clear; drops vary, so evaluate what the run actually gives you.

When to stop or switch

Switch to a higher mission once your equipment supports a reliable clear at the current level. Stop farming when new drops no longer improve the active build.
