Where to farm
Koppa Mining Site and other mine wreck areas for fragments; Moonpool Vehicle Upgrade Console for fabrication.
Scan Drill Arm fragments in the mine areas, fabricate the arm at a Vehicle Upgrade Console, and install it on the Prawn Suit. This turns later deposits into practical collection targets; it does not make small loose resources inaccessible by hand.
Materials listed in the Drill Arm fabrication recipe.
Enter Koppa Mining Site from its Thermal Spires cave entrance with enough oxygen for a return.
Search the mine passages and nearby mine wreck areas for Drill Arm fragments.
Scan each fragment encountered until the blueprint unlocks.
Return to base and use a Vehicle Upgrade Console in the Moonpool to fabricate the arm.
Bring the Prawn Suit into the Moonpool and install the Drill Arm in an available arm slot.
Take the equipped suit to a large resource deposit and drill it to collect ore pieces.
Return to base, unload the ore, and use the arm again on other marked deposits.
Farming tips
Scan fragments during the same mine excursion as mineral gathering to make the trip more productive.
Small loose resources can still be picked up without drilling, so reserve the arm for large deposits.
Repeat, collect and use
The blueprint is a one-time unlock. The arm can be used repeatedly, while each large deposit is depleted after mining; move to another deposit for continued bulk collection.
Common mistakes
Expecting the arm to be collected as a finished item: scan fragments and fabricate it at the console.
Trying to install it without bringing the Prawn Suit into the Moonpool.
Drilling a deposit without room to collect its pieces: clear inventory space before a bulk run.
When to stop or switch
Stop fragment hunting once the blueprint unlocks; switch to deposit routes after fabrication and installation.
