The first Seatruck depth upgrade extends access to deeper resource routes and supports later exploration.
PC / Global, version 1.0
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Fragments in wrecks and supply areas; fabricate at a Vehicle Upgrade Console built in a Moonpool.
Unlock the blueprint by scanning fragments, then fabricate the module at a Vehicle Upgrade Console and install it before descending beyond the Seatruck’s base limit. The fragment search is a finite progression step, not a repeatable material farm.
Plasteel Ingot and Enameled Glass for fabrication.
Search wrecks and supply areas for Seatruck Depth Upgrade fragments.
Scan fragments until the blueprint unlocks; keep track of any locations you have not fully searched.
Build a Moonpool if you do not have one and install a Vehicle Upgrade Console inside.
Gather the Plasteel Ingot and Enameled Glass listed by the fabrication recipe.
Use the console to fabricate the MK1 module.
Install the module in the Seatruck’s upgrade slot before taking the vehicle deeper.
Check the updated depth limit before planning a resource route.
Farming tips
Use the upgrade before approaching deeper Purple Vents sections, and watch the vehicle’s depth warning.
Collect fragments while exploring rather than making unplanned trips without oxygen or transport.
Repeat, collect and use
Blueprint fragments are a limited scan objective; once unlocked, the module can be fabricated again if you have its ingredients. The progression unlock itself is one-time.
Common mistakes
Searching indefinitely after the blueprint unlocks: stop scanning when the recipe is available.
Diving before installing the module: fabricate and equip it first.
Assuming the upgrade removes all depth limits: check the current vehicle limit before each deeper route.
When to stop or switch
Once MK1 is installed and the blueprint is unlocked, switch from fragment hunting to the next depth upgrade or planned biome expedition.
