WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Jellyshroom Cave beneath the Grassy Plateaus, with a commonly used entrance near Lifepod 17.
This cave beneath the Grassy Plateaus combines resource gathering with a one-time exploration target. Sweep the floor for Lithium, Magnetite, and Shale outcrops, then inspect the abandoned habitat for scans and data. The cave is enclosed, so plan the route around a reliable exit and oxygen reserve.
Before you go Seaglide and sufficient oxygen for a cave visit. Light source and Scanner for habitat exploration. Beacon to mark the entrance if its position is unfamiliar. Vehicle depth rating appropriate to the cave if bringing a Seamoth. Locate the Lifepod 17 area and search nearby Grassy Plateaus for a sinkhole into the Jellyshroom Cave. Mark the opening with a beacon if you may lose sight of it among the mushroom formations. Descend toward the cave floor and gather loose Lithium and Magnetite as you travel. Inspect nearby Shale outcrops and break them with the appropriate tool to collect their resource drops. Find the abandoned Degasi habitat and scan available fragments, equipment, or records you have not yet acquired. Keep track of oxygen and the entrance while exploring habitat rooms and nearby cave ledges. Return through the marked shaft before your oxygen or vehicle depth limit becomes critical. Farming tips The mushroom caps can obscure both the floor and the exit; pause to reorient before crossing a new section. Separate the one-time habitat search from repeat ore runs so you do not expect already collected scans to respawn. Repeat, collect and use Loose resources can be gathered on later visits, but scans and data at the habitat are limited progression pickups and are not a renewable farm.
Common mistakes Exploring every branch before marking the entrance: place a beacon or keep the exit in view. Staying for one more item with low oxygen: make the return trip the priority once your margin shrinks. Expecting habitat scans to refill: focus repeat visits on resources that remain available. When to stop or switch Leave when the habitat has no new useful scans for you and you have collected the desired loose resources, or sooner if the return reserve is low.
