Mushroom Forest Fragments

Search Mushroom Forest wrecks for scannable technology fragments and collect nearby loose resources during the same visit.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Wrecks and seabed around the giant mushroom trees in either Mushroom Forest.

The Mushroom Forest has wrecks and fragment crates around the giant mushroom trees. A Scanner reveals blueprint opportunities; a Laser Cutter opens sealed wreck doors when required. Treat wreck exploration and loose ore collection as separate parts of the loop, and leave when you have completed the accessible scans rather than searching blindly.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Scanner with battery charge.
  • Laser Cutter for sealed wreck doors.
  • Seamoth or Seaglide with enough oxygen and depth range for the chosen site.
  • Storage space for any loose resources.
  1. Navigate to a Mushroom Forest and scan the seabed for a wreck section or fragment crate.
  2. Approach the wreck exterior and scan visible fragments before entering enclosed spaces.
  3. Use the Laser Cutter only on sealed doors that indicate they can be cut open.
  4. Search accessible rooms for additional fragments and scan each item you have not already unlocked.
  5. Exit to open water to check oxygen and reorient before exploring another wreck section.
  6. Collect nearby loose Lithium separately from the wreck scans if you need the material.
  7. Return to your vehicle and leave along the route you used to arrive.

Farming tips

  • Bring both Scanner and Laser Cutter so a sealed door does not interrupt an otherwise useful wreck visit.
  • Wreck fragments and ore serve different purposes: scans unlock blueprints, while loose pickups are crafting materials.

Repeat, collect and use

Unscanned fragments are limited progression pickups. Loose resources can be collected on repeat visits where present, but completed scans do not become a renewable farm.

Common mistakes

  • Entering a wreck without a Scanner: carry one so you can turn fragments into blueprint progress.
  • Expecting the Laser Cutter to open every door: use it only where a sealed cuttable entrance is present.
  • Confusing nearby Lithium with wreck loot: collect it as a separate material pickup.

When to stop or switch

Leave when the wreck has no unscanned fragments you need and you have gathered the nearby materials relevant to your current plans.
