A planned Lost River sweep gathers several useful deep resources in one trip and helps identify large deposits for later drilling.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Lost River, entered from the Blood Kelp trench or Grand Reef; search the green brine river, fossil area, and cave ledges.
The Lost River has loose Nickel Ore, Lithium, and Magnetite, with Ruby also included in the recorded sweep route. Its depth and hazards call for a suitable vehicle, a clear landmark sequence, and a return reserve. Gather loose pickups first; mark large deposits for a Prawn Suit Drill Arm trip.
Original route schematic based on the author’s direction descriptions. It includes only their stated entrance coordinate; other layout relationships are relative and not to scale.
GET STARTED
How to farm
Before you go
Prawn Suit with depth module MK1 or Cyclops with depth module MK2 for the listed depth range.
Seaglide for movement outside a vehicle.
Repair supplies and sufficient storage for collected ore.
Beacon or recognizable landmarks for route orientation.
Select the Blood Kelp or Grand Reef entrance that you can identify and safely reach.
Descend toward the large fossil landmark and use it to orient yourself within the river system.
Sweep safe ground along the green brine river and nearby ledges for loose Nickel, Lithium, Ruby, and Magnetite.
Collect exposed pieces without standing in the brine; leave any unsafe item rather than taking damage to reach it.
Watch for River Prowlers and keep the vehicle in a position that allows a quick retreat.
Mark large metal deposits with a beacon or map note for a return with a Drill Arm.
Retrace your entry route and bring the loose resources back to your base.
Farming tips
The Lost River reaches about 938 m, so check the vehicle rating for the depth you intend to visit.
A sweep works best when you collect surface pieces and postpone large deposit mining to a dedicated Prawn trip.
Repeat, collect and use
Loose pieces and deposits in the route are limited per location. Repeat the sweep or mine marked deposits when you need more; previously collected scans or landmarks do not replenish.
Common mistakes
Going beyond your vehicle's depth rating: confirm the module before leaving the entrance area.
Collecting in brine: approach from solid ground and avoid prolonged contact.
Following every branch without a return plan: use the fossil or entry route to keep your return leg clear.
When to stop or switch
Head back once you have the planned resource mix or when damage, depth, or remaining travel margin makes the return uncertain.
