Rune Ore is one part of the Ancient upgrade crafting chain. Farm it in a dimensional area that lists Rune Ore as a reward, then combine the collected ore with Ancient Magic Stones according to the recipe for an Ancient Gem or Ancient Grindstone. The recipe screen determines which material mix you need, so select your intended upgrade before spending Dimension Hole energy. The Dimension Hole has its own energy pool, and area rewards or available stages can vary; verify the active area’s reward panel rather than assuming every route produces the same ore.
Unlock Dimension Hole and an area that offers Rune Ore.
Have a target Ancient rune and a relevant gem or grindstone recipe in mind.
Check recipe requirements and area rewards before spending Dimension Hole energy.
Open Crafting and choose the Ancient Gem or Ancient Grindstone recipe you intend to make.
Note the Rune Ore requirement and confirm the selected dimensional area lists it.
Enter the area and choose a stage your team can clear reliably.
Complete the stage and collect its displayed rewards.
Track Rune Ore and gather Ancient Magic Stones from eligible Second Awakening dungeons as needed.
Craft the planned item and apply it to a compatible Ancient rune worth keeping.

Confirm Rune Ore is listed in the area’s current rewards before farming there.
Dimension Hole energy is separate; spend it toward a material plan rather than scattering runs.
