Rift of Worlds > Rift Raid; fight the raid boss with allied teams.

Rift Raid is a cooperative source of grindstones and other rune-upgrade materials. Grindstones improve a rune’s substats, so the practical target is a stone that matches a rune you already intend to keep. Coordinate with the available allied teams, complete the raid encounter, then check the reward and match each stone to its rune set before applying it. Raid participation is most useful after you have worthwhile runes to refine; it is not a substitute for choosing and farming the underlying gear.

How to farm

Before you go

Unlock Rift of Worlds and Rift Raid.
Have a team suitable for the raid encounter and access to allied teams or friend support.
Own or plan to keep runes that can benefit from matching grindstones.

Open Rift Raid and review the available raid and team information.
Join with a team appropriate to the encounter and coordinate with the other participants when possible.
Complete the raid battle and collect the rewards shown after the result.
Sort grindstones by the rune set they can improve.
Choose a kept rune whose substats merit improvement and check the stone’s compatibility.
Apply the matching grindstone through the rune upgrade interface and review the changed substat.

Farming tips

Save useful stones until you have a rune worth refining; upgrading disposable gear wastes the opportunity.
Check set compatibility before using a stone, even when its substat looks attractive.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable raid activity. Continue while you have a reason to improve matching runes and can participate; individual drops are not guaranteed here.

Common mistakes

Using a grindstone on a rune you expect to replace; finish deciding whether to keep the rune first.
Ignoring set compatibility; match the stone to a rune from the required set.
