Where to farm
The elevator between strata, beginning with the Strata 1 to Strata 2 gate.
Treat each elevator gate as a specific delivery job. Read the current requirement, assemble the requested Excavator Bit tier from its predecessor and added inputs, then place the finished bit in the elevator’s purple port. After the gate opens, explore the new stratum and note its terminal and resource opportunities before returning to expand production.
Access to the elevator and its current task panel.
The required Excavator Bit tier and its recipe inputs.
Production or crafting access to the listed components.
Inventory space for the finished bit and exploration supplies.
Inspect the elevator task panel to identify the next required bit tier and any other requested items.
Check that tier’s recipe in the current production panel; bit upgrades build on the previous tier with additional materials.
Gather the required ingots, frames, components, and the prior bit before crafting.
Craft the requested Excavator Bit using the available machine or hand-crafting process.
Carry it to the elevator and insert it into the marked purple port.
Verify that the gate accepts the item and opens access to the next stratum.
Explore the newly reached floor, scan relevant machinery or plants, and register reachable veins for later supply.
Farming tips
The described upgrade pattern uses the previous bit plus added items; confirm each tier’s exact current recipe rather than assuming inputs.
Reserve elevator bits for progression instead of spending them on local production.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a limited progression sequence: repeat for each new elevator gate, using the next tier the game requests. Completed gates do not need repeated submissions.
Common mistakes
Crafting from memory: read the current bit recipe before gathering materials.
Using the only required bit elsewhere: hold it for the elevator until the gate is open.
Leaving immediately after opening a floor: record new resources and unlocks before returning to the factory.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the elevator opens the next stratum and its current gate objective is complete; resume only when the next progression task is available.
